Pre-Buy Gas Sales
Pre-buying your gas for the heating season will lock in your price per gallon and protect you from escalating rates during the winter. A minimum purchase of 450 gallons is required. The pre-buy program is offered for a limited time each year.
How it works
Call a Modern Gas Sales representative at your local office and we will determine your previous years gallon usage. We then will calculate the current pre-buy price per gallon and multiply that price by your gallons. You will then be required to send in full payment within 10 business days from the date your pre-buy contract goes out. Once your payment is received your contract gas will be applied to your account.
If I move or no longer use propane, will I get a refund?
THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS GIVEN ON CONTRACT GAS NO MATTER THE REASON. NO EXCEPTIONS!
What happens to my price if the market goes up/down?
If the market price per gallon goes above your pre-buy price you will not pay the higher rate. You are locked in at your pre-buy rate. If the market price per gallon goes below your pre-buy price your price is locked at the pre-buy price. Your gallons are purchased through our suppliers and your price will not change no matter how high or low propane might go.
If the market price is lower than my pre-buy price can I get a delivery at the market price and put my contract on hold?
Absolutely not. You must use your pre-buy gas before receiving additional deliveries. Your product is put into storage. We must have the gas out of storage by April 30th or it will be subject to penalty.
